Fashion Film - An Insight Into The Birth, Development And Possible Future Projections Of A New Medium

Marie Schuller's talk at the BAIFFF will centre around the origins of fashion film and the predecessors of the genre, leading up to the founding and rise of SHOWstudio, where she held the position of Head of Fashion Film for 6 years. Her conclusions will discuss the current state of the medium and the continuous mystery around its definition as well as an outlook into possible future developments of the genre. Marie will screen fashion films all the way from the 1950s to 2017 throughout her talk.
